History

GroupOne was founded by the Dallas-Fort Worth Hospital Council in 1988 to meet the hospitals’ constantly changing needs for criminal background checks, salary surveys and employee termination data. GroupOne’s mission was to help healthcare employers find the safest and most dependable employees. Our employee background screening tools were proven to increase the success of the hospitals’ hiring process by consistently helping to identify quality workers.

Since the beginning, GroupOne has remained true to the belief of promoting patient/employee safety and quality care. While expanding nationally, integration with applicant tracking systems and partnerships with suppliers of human resources solutions allows GroupOne to offer clients a one-stop shop for their hiring needs. The range of solutions and geographic coverage has grown steadily over the years to anticipate client needs.

GroupOne operates under the guidelines of the FCRA (Fair Credit Reporting Act) as a Consumer Reporting Agency and licensed Private Investigative Agency. GroupOne also adheres to pertinent Joint Commission standards including HR 1.20 and “primary source” research requirements.
